SLIGHT DELAY IN GERS ANNUITY CHECKS, DIRECT DEPOSIT NOT AFFECTED
The Government Employees Retirement System would like to advise its retirees that there will be a delay in payment for those retirees receiving their annuity payment via check. Retirees who receive their payment via ACH/Direct Deposit should not experience a delay.
The delay is due to technical difficulties currently being experienced with the check processing system, which will also prevent any retiree from accessing their check stubs online via www.usvigers.com.
Please note that retirees who requested changes to become effective August 31, 2017, will not see those changes until pay date September 15, 2017.
