Come out and be informed!! ​Call your Senators! At the May monthly meeting of the STX Government Retirees, our membership agreed to petition the 30th Legislature with yet another proposal to preserve and protect the Government Employee Retirement System(GERS) and to improve Health Care in the Virgin Islands.  An annual savings of 18 million was realized when the VI Government removed Retirees 65 and older from the CIGNA Health Insurance and placed them on the United Health Care Plan. The STX Government Retirees, Inc. proposes that the 18 million saved is appropriated as follows:       ​

9 million annually to the GERS unfunded liability·

4.5 million annually  to Juan F. Luis Hospital ·

4.5 million annually to Roy L. Schnieder Hospital ​

Call your Senators and ask them to make this happen.
