Breast Cancer Awareness ... Debbie Christopher made a brief but meaningful presentation on Cancer awareness. She described Cancer as an over population of cells that sometimes lead to a tumor , or , to growths. She said that early detection of cancer can be helpful and she urged that checks be made to see if any functional abnormalities exist in our bodies . During her presentation, Christopher said that she was responsible for the formulation of the Cancer Registry Law (a law that needs beefing up) and that she is a Certified Cancer Health Educator. In view of the time constraints posed, Christopher said that she would be willing to make another presentation outside of the SGA scheduled meeting time slot.
Election of Officers ... Rhea Hodge said that the number of persons at the meeting was, in her opinion , too small to gain a true consensus of the body with regards to holding elections. Fourteen persons voted in favor of the motion, one was opposed and one did not vote.
